The Southern Moravia and Czech countryside will enchant you. Come to see the unique Jewish quarter or the splendid chateau in Lednice – the former summer residence of the Lichtenstein family. Do not forget Berchtesgaden - a short trip into the region’s dark Nazi heritage.

TOUR SCHEDULE

Day 1 Vienna (Austria)
Arrival in Vienna, transfer to the hotel, dinner and wine tasting in the suburbs of Vienna. Viticulture is an important part of Viennese culture. Grapes have been cultivated here since 12th century.

Day 2 Vienna, World Heritage Site (Austria)
We start our city sightseeing in the morning: the gothic cathedral of St Stephen – the Stephansdom - a symbol of Vienna, the State Opera House, the Natural History and Art History museums, the Parliament, the City Hall, including a visit of the Hofburg - the royal seat of the Habsburg dynasty. Lunch will be served in one of the traditional Viennese restaurants in the centre. Afterwards, you can enjoy your cup of coffee in one of the cosy coffee houses in the centre (coffee in Vienna is something special: will you be able to choose from the many varieties?) 
Optional:  you can spend the evening listening to the famous music of Strauss and Mozart at a concert in the Kursalon.

Day 3   Trebic, Sedlec, World Heritage Sites and Prague (Czech Republic)
We will cross the border to the Czech Republic and make our first stop at Trebic to visit its unique Jewish Quarter. It is the only Jewish settlement in the world outside Jerusalem to have been inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The second stop will be at Sedlec to visit the astonishing Ossuary – fully decorated with human bones.
In the evening, we arrive in Prague.  After a demanding day of culture, we can unwind with a light and music show at Prague’s singing fountain.

Day 4   Prague, World Heritage Site (Czech Republic)
The jewels of Prague: the castle area, Charles bridge, Old town square with its astronomical clock. The afternoon will be free time for you to spend strolling along the narrow lanes of the Old Town and the banks of the Vltava River.  For sure, you will not resist buying some of the beautiful pieces of Czech jewellery.

Day 5   Ceske Budejovice, Cesky Krumlov (World Heritage Site), Salzburg (Austria)
Morning departure from Prague and drive to Southern Bohemia.  In Ceske Budejovice, we will visit one of the most famous Czech breweries. Lunch will be accompanied by a beer tasting.
In the afternoon, we will make a stop at 
Cesky Krumlov to admire the beauty of this small but magnificent town.  It has a well preserved city centre (Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture) and a majestic castle, which is the second largest in the Czech Republic.  Our tour will then go on to Salzburg.

Day 6   Salzburg, World Heritage Site (Austria)
Salzburg was the setting of the famous movie, the Sound of Music, and we will take an organised tour of the city’s historical sights and other locations used in filming.
After lunch, we drive to the nearby German border. In Berchtesgaden, we will take an unusual tour of the Eagle’s Nest, Obersalzberg and Bunker System. Hitler’s home and headquarters - the second seat of Third Reich power - were located at Obersalzberg, at the foot of the Eagle’s Nest Mountain. The so-called “Eagle’s Nest” was built as a teahouse for Adolf Hitler’s 50th birthday. A visit to the underground bunker system gives an idea of the monumental scale of the Nazis’ former headquarters. In a restaurant in Berchtesgaden, a tasty Bavarian dinner will be served. (Bavarian cooking and beer are said to be the best in Germany – and not just by Bavarians!)

Day 7   Hallstat, World Heritage Sites, transfer to Graz (Austria)
Famous for its beautiful landscapes, precious archaeological findings and its amazing charnel house – Hallstatt is the most fascinating town of the Salzkammer region. The Chinese were so captivated that they decided to make a copy in their country, but the original remains unique. The highlight of our sightseeing tour will be a boat trip on the lake – just make sure you have your cameras ready!
Transfer to Graz, accommodation

Day 8   Graz, World Heritage Site (Austria)
The city with the largest historical centre in Central Europe, built on the bank of the River Mur – Graz. During the sightseeing tour, you will see the vast Main square with impressive Town hall, the armoury, the Landhaus, the Mausoleum of Ferdinand II, the Clock Tower and the Bell Tower. We will ride up the castle hill on the Schlossbergbahn, a funicular railway, and walk back down via a spiral staircase inside the hill. During lunch in a restaurant on the castle hill, we will taste the traditional Austrian cuisine and enjoy the beautiful views over the city.
