What is the climate like in Slovakia?
The climate is predominantly continental – though there are differences that result from the varied geography of the country. For example, summers in low-lying Bratislava can get quite warm, with anything from 20-35! However, winters are reasonably mild with some light snowfall starting in early November and sometimes remaining as late as early March. In other parts of the country, particularly in the mountain regions, summers are milder and winters can be much colder with quite heavy snowfall and low temperatures. In some places temperatures as low as -25 are not unusual.
