Old Village of Hollókő and its Surroundings

Holloko village - the living example of rural life before the agricultural revolution in 20th century. Its name means "Raven stone" in Hungarian language. This village erected around the castle, which was built around the year 1300 (the castle was first mentioned in records in 1310), but the main development came in the 17th and 18th century. Even though a lot of years have already passed, the village stays preserved in its unique style.

If you are interested it sites like this, we recommend you to make a stay in Slovakia, too, when you can visit Vlkolínec, which is very similar to Holloko. What differences these villages from each other is the environment - Vlkolínec is situated in the gorgeous Slovak mountains.
